“Together with the police, concerned for safety”
If you want to protect yourself and your staff from perpetrators of robberies, remember:
-first and foremost, equip all checkout stations with warning buttons that discreetly transmit a signal about a robbery, without noise, to office or security rooms. Remember that activating a loud warning signal may trigger unforeseen reactions and behaviour from the perpetrators, endangering the cashier’s life!
-do not spare the expense of equipping the checkout station with bulletproof glass and special drawers mounted behind the counter for the contactless transfer of cash or other valuables between the cashier and the customer,
-remember to systematically lock the doors to the back rooms – this is a simple way to protect yourself from unnoticed entry by criminals waiting for such an opportunity,
-try to install an independent telephone or CB radio in the office, which can be used to call the Police in the event of a robbery,
-systematically transfer larger takings from the cash registers to the safe located in the back room – in the event of a robbery, the losses will be much smaller.
