In the 1995/96 football season, the older and younger youth teams representing GOKiS-Osiecznica began competing. Both teams consisted primarily of students from the Primary School in Osiecznica, coached by the sports instructor, Mr Dariusz Wojtowicz.
The players’ and coach’s great commitment meant that our debuting teams secured high positions in the league.
The younger youth team, the youngest team in the league, finished fifth, earning 16 points in 18 matches. The older youth team finished second in the league, losing out only to the team from Lubań. They earned 44 points in 18 matches. This team won the regional Piłkarska Kadra Czeka tournament in Bolesławiec, defeating representatives of the Bolesławiec and Nowogrodziec municipalities.
In the provincial final of this tournament, held on 19 May 1996 in Lwówek Śląski, the team finished fifth and received a commemorative diploma.
We wish both teams further success.
We invite all school-age children from the Osiecznica municipality who are interested in playing football to register at the Municipal Culture and Sports Centre in Osiecznica (tel. 108).
