The Bolesławiec municipality chess championship was contested by 17 players in the senior group. Zbigniew Kaźmierski won the title of champion with 14.5 points out of a possible 16. The next places were taken by: Sławomir Graff – 14 points, Zbigniew Humenny – 12.5 points, Andrzej Kędzia – 11.5 points, Jan. Zatylny – 9.5 points, Kazimierz Sikora – 9.5 points, Henryk Majchrzak – 8.5 points and Henryk Silicz – 8 points.
The junior group was contested by 12 players. Sebastian Podlasek won with 10.5 points out of a possible 11, ahead of Grzegorz Romanowski – 8.5 points, Andrzej Zieliński – 8.5 points, Grzegorz Grubiak – 8 points and Zdzisław Żóltański – also 8 points.
