On 8 May 1996, the elections for Miss and Mister of Bolesławiec Municipality for 1996 were held at the community center of the Municipal Culture and Sports Center in Kruszyn.
The jury, composed of chairwoman Grażyna Wężyk and members Bernadeta Biegacz, Sylwia Dobrzańska and Małgorzata Zawada, assessed the performances of the candidates (up to the second grade) representing the primary schools of Bolesławiec Municipality in the Miss and Mister contest. Students from primary schools in Żeliszów, Nowe Jaroszowice, Kraśnik Dolny, Ocice, Kruszyn, Bożejowice and Nowa Wieś Kraśnicka entered the contest. From among 15 candidates for Miss, the jury selected Ewa Różnicka from the primary school in Bożejowice; the title of runner-up went to Karolina Rajczakowska (Primary School in Nowa Wieś). From among 10 candidates for Mister, Bartek Rajczakowski (Primary School in Kraśnik Dolny) was selected, while Radek Kondas (Primary School in Żeliszów) became runner-up.
