In the competition for the cup of the commander—Col. Stanisław Chwojnicki—the team of cadre and soldiers from the garrison units defeated four teams from Bolesławiec workplaces and institutions: the Waterworks, PKS, the Police, and the sponsor of the prizes and co-organizer—Bolesławiecka Ceramika (director Kazimierz Surmiak).
The winning team played in the following lineup: Staff Sergeant Zbigniew Tyczyński—team captain; Captain Jan Kędziora—top scorer; Senior Warrant Officer Andrzej Jasiński; Corporal Henryk Haba; senior privates: Jerzy Hynek, Dariusz Kowalonek, Tomasz Michalski; and privates: Sławomir Ogorzelski, Sebastian Pawłowicz and Marek Tomaszewski.
The tournament was held on 3 May.
