For the second time, HDK clubs from the Bolesławiec area met for a KBKS shooting competition at the sports shooting range of Military Unit 1259 on 1 May 1997. The competition was attended by: the Women’s Team from the PCK club at “Polfa”, PKS, the Mechanical Schools Complex and Military Unit 1259. The event was honored by the presence of invited guests:
Mr Zdzisław Mirecki – Chair of the Audit Committee of the District PCK Council in Jelenia Góra; Mr Roman Bodak – Chair of the District HDK Council in Jelenia Góra; Maj. Tadeusz Mleczko – Commander of Military Unit 1259; Ms Danuta Zielińska – Head of the Office of the Area PCK Council in Bolesławiec; Dr Krzysztof Chojnacki – President of the PCK Circle at Military Unit 1259; Mr Jan Blacha – President of the PCK Circle at ZSM in Bolesławiec; Mr Adam Fornal – President of the PCK Circle at PKS; Mr Ryszard Hajduk – President of the PCK Circle at “Polfa”.
The competition was opened by the Commander of Military Unit 1259, Maj. Tadeusz Mleczko, who wished the participants excellent results and an enjoyable time. After discussing safety conditions and drawing the shooting order, the shooting manager and chief judge of the competition, Mr Ryszard Wasyluk, began the event.
In the individual classification, after a shoot-off: first place went to Jacek Myśliwiec – a member of the UDK club at Military Unit 1259 and a career soldier of the Nadwiślańskie Military Units in Warsaw. Second place went to Mr Edward Broda – a member of the HDK club at PKS Bolesławiec. Third place went to Mr Stanisław Stachecki – a member of the HDK club at “Polfa”. The team classification was as follows: first place went to the second team of Military Unit 1259 Bolesławiec; second place went to the first team of Military Unit 1259 Bolesławiec; third place went to the team from “Polfa”.
Material prizes and commemorative diplomas were presented by Messrs Mirecki, Bodak and Chojnacki.
The sponsors of the competition were: the HDK Club at Military Unit 1259, SAS in Bolesławiec, PCK in Bolesławiec and Military Unit 1259.
After the competition, all participants and invited guests went for “military pea soup”, grilled sausages and beer. The competition and entertainment event were prepared by the Board of the HDK Club at Military Unit 1259 under the management of the club’s president, Mr Zygmunt Myśliwiec.
