This year, Bolesławiecki Klub Sportowy officials are preparing an extraordinary treat for football fans. Following last year’s reunion match with the famous Orły Kazimierza Górskiego team, another sporting event is next. This time, a two-day football tournament is planned, featuring the following teams: Górnik Zabrze, Legia Warszawa, FC Luzern (Switzerland) and BKS Selection Bolesławiec. These are veterans’ teams. The entire event, initiated by Wojciech Zimmermann, will be held under the slogan “Oldboys for Children”; its proceeds are intended for youth sports (football) and, in part, for the children’s home in Bolesławiec. Campaign account: PKO Oddział Bolesławiec no. 10202137-651-270-1, with the note “oldboys for children”.
The tournament is scheduled for 19–20 July 1997 in Bolesławiec, at the stadium on Spółdzielcza Street.
The Club already has preliminary confirmations from all the teams, and sponsors willing to support the noble cause to which the tournament is dedicated are currently being sought.
Wojciech Zimmermann, who permanently resides in Switzerland, often visits his hometown of Bolesławiec and wants, through his involvement in preparing the event, to help BKS officials and the children of our city participate in the most popular sport—football. Glory to him for that!!!
The officials of Bolesławiecki Klub Sportowy invite everyone interested, as well as supporters of the Club and sport, to participate in preparing and conducting the tournament featuring stars of Polish football.
