We already know that the “third attempt” to build a sports hall for I Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Władysława Broniewskiego will be successful, and that the planned opening in 1999 is realistic. Thanks to the efforts of the school management and local government authorities, the necessary funds have been secured. The headmaster, mgr Stanisław Małkowski, is already thinking about obtaining additional funds for full equipment.
Last September, the Bolesławiec-based PPUH Sp. z o.o. “Stalbet” won the tender. It entered the construction site on 14 October, National Education Day. The apparent progress of the work provides grounds for believing that the co-owners—mgr inż. Witold Bartniak, inż. Danuta Śledzińska and Zbigniew Ryż—together with their employees will certainly fulfil the contract.
