“The school wins EU grants practically every year,” says Jacek Jurkiewicz, headmaster of the Construction School Complex. ZSB will receive European Union funding for the fifth time. This year, the school prepared a project that covered a larger number of students. As a result, the school was able to apply for a higher amount.

The project received a positive opinion from the Foundation for the Development of the Education System. ZSB will receive nearly €125,000 to carry out vocational internships. At the turn of October and November, students of the Construction Technical School will go to Germany for a month-long internship. Meanwhile, a group from the Landscape Architecture Technical School will travel to Leipzig at the turn of March and April 2009.

“In total, the grant covers 60 students of the Construction School Complex,” Jacek Jurkiewicz told the IstotneInformacje.pl portal. During their stay with our western neighbors, the young people from Bolesławiec will be provided with, among other things, insurance, accommodation, meals and monthly tickets. What is more, the students will receive pocket money—€8 per day.

ZSB students will have the opportunity to complete internships at reputable German construction companies. After completing the placement, they will receive Europass certificates.
