The senior team will be managed by mgr Henryk Kusojć, who took over as first-team coach after Józef Kawałko resigned. Stanisław Zapiór will be the first-team coach’s assistant, while Piotr Bieńkowski will serve as team manager. The youth teams have also completed the first round of the competition. The younger youth teams (coach Adrian Bernacki) and younger juniors (coach Tomasz Benesiewicz) performed best, finishing second in their respective groups. The older youth team (coach Marian Grzegorzewski) and older juniors (coach Jerzy Sobczak) fared somewhat worse, finishing fourth in the final competition table. The 1996 Bolesławiec football champions were also determined in the primary and secondary school categories. In the primary-school final, Primary School No. 2 (coach W. Krystofiak) defeated Primary School No. 9 (coach W. Słobodzian) 3–2. A noteworthy feature of the match was the participation of organized groups of supporters (pictured), who enthusiastically cheered on both teams. Well done. The finalists from the secondary schools—Zespół Szkół Mechanicznych and Zespół Szkół elektronicznych—played a very even match. Neither side managed to score during extra time; only in the penalty shootout did the “Mechanik” players prove better, and they will represent Bolesławiec in further competitions at the provincial level.
