Employees of the Wrocław branch of the Meteorological Forecast Office of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management predict that on 16 May, thunderstorms with intermittent rainfall will pass over Lower Silesia. The warning is in effect until 10:00 p.m.
The expected rainfall amount is up to 20 mm. The thunderstorms may be accompanied by gusty winds, with gusts reaching approximately 60 km/h.
The phenomenon may cause disruptions to the operation of electrical equipment, fire hazards and a risk to life from lightning strikes. The situation is being monitored on an ongoing basis by the Voivodeship Crisis Management Centre.
