An approximately two-kilometre-long oil spill appeared on the Bolesławiec bypass, stretching from the roundabout at Kościuszki Street to Zgorzelecka Street. In some places, it was even 50 cm wide.
Traffic on this route was disrupted. Cars had to use detours. Firefighters removed the oil spill using an absorbent that effectively absorbs grease, paints and varnishes.
The spill neutralisation operation proceeded smoothly. Bolesławiec police are establishing the identity of the driver of the leaking vehicle.
