During the 9th “Stonoga” Dance Groups Review, held on Saturday, April 24, in Chojnów, groups from the Contemporary Dance Studio of the Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury won as many as five trophies. The students of Halina Bałacka-Kłak, an MDK instructor, secured high podium places.
The youngest group, Figielki, won third prize in the “other group dance form” category for participants up to 12 years old. In the same category, second place went to the older group from the Bolesławiec MDK, Etiuda, which also placed third in the “disco” category. Meanwhile, the Modus group won third place in the “disco – older participants” and “other group dance form” categories.
“I got the best young people,” Halina Bałacka-Kłak told the IstoteInformacje.pl portal. In the instructor’s opinion, her students owe their success in Chojnów mainly to their hard work. “I only come up with the choreography and teach it to them,” she added modestly.
