On 12 March, a recitation competition for pupils in grades 1–3 of primary schools from the rural Bolesławiec municipality was held in the hall of the Municipal Culture and Sports Centre. The event’s theme was: “Animals Are Our Friends”. The children most often chose texts about dogs and cats.
Results of the municipal stage:

- Marcel Chlastawa from the Primary School in Kruszyn
- Klaudia Kotwica from the Primary School in Brzeźnik
- Martyna Sienkiewicz from the Primary School in Trzebień
- Tomasz Witwicki from the Primary School in Kraśnik Dolny
All the awarded children will represent our municipality at the county-level competition.
53rd Lower Silesian Recitation Competition
On the same day, the city qualifiers for the 53rd Lower Silesian Recitation Competition, intended for pupils of lower-secondary schools, were held at the Pegaz club of the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre.
After hearing 26 performances, the jury, composed of Krystyna Raszka, Maria Sobolska and Łukasz Duda, decided to award first prize to Maciej Kielar from the First Private Lower-Secondary School. Paulina Szylin from Municipal Lower-Secondary School No. 2 took second place. Jarosław Kojder (Municipal Lower-Secondary School No. 2) received third prize. The panel also gave distinctions to Ewelina Szczęsna and Magdalena Kubat, both from Municipal Lower-Secondary School No. 2. The awarded participants qualified for the county stage.
Nationwide competition
On 13 March, students of upper-secondary schools, university students and adults performed at the 53rd Nationwide Recitation Competition at the Pegaz club.
The judges—Krystyna Raszka, Maria Sobolska and Łukasz Duda—heard 23 performances. The competition panel did not award first place. Martyna Woźnica from the First General Secondary School won second prize, while Łukasz Ludwikowski took third.
The jury also decided to give distinctions to Aleksandra Górna (Youth Cultural Centre), Katarzyna Jewtuch (First General Secondary School), Natalia Parczewska (Second General Secondary School) and Ewa Jakubowicz (Youth Cultural Centre). Both the awarded and distinguished participants qualified for the regional qualifiers of the Nationwide Recitation Competition, which will be held on 4 April in the Auditorium of the Jelenia Góra Cultural Centre.
