On 28 February, during a routine operation involving checks of addresses and efforts to establish the whereabouts of wanted individuals, officers from the criminal division of the Bolesławiec police spotted a 24-year-old resident of our town on Staszica Street. His behavior immediately aroused suspicion. As it turned out, the suspicions were fully justified. The Bolesławiec resident had 20 doses of amphetamine on him. Police found another 200 doses of amphetamine and marijuana in the man’s apartment.
The Bolesławiec resident admitted to the offense. He is currently at liberty. He will soon stand trial for possessing a large quantity of drugs. He faces up to 8 years in prison.
In the past, the young man had been recorded by police for taking part in brawls.
