Border guards from the Carpathian Border Guard Unit in Kraków detained a 34-year-old resident of Bolesławiec on Monday. The Bolesławiec resident was planning to fly to Luton (Great Britain). However, his journey ended at Kraków–Balice Airport. Border guard officers found a suspicious substance in the collar of the Bolesławiec resident’s shirt. “Analysis of the substance showed that it was 3.3 grams of hashish,” said Major Marek Jarosiński of the Carpathian Border Guard Unit.
The 34-year-old was detained. In addition, police found 33 rounds of ammunition for a .22-calibre sporting rifle in his apartment in Bolesławiec. The man did not have a permit for it. The Border Guard is handling the drug case, while the police are investigating the ammunition case. The man faces up to three years in prison for drug possession.
