Films will still be shown, performances staged and various events held at the renovated Forum cinema. However, as Ewa Zbroja, director of Bolesławiecki Ośrodek Kultury, says, the auditorium will be much more modern, with improved aesthetics and acoustics.

Practically all the equipment in the cinema auditorium has been replaced, including the lighting and projectors. Forum will also have a new panoramic screen. The stage facilities have been designed to make work easier for the staff. The construction work costs more than PLN 12 million.

It is not yet known when the first screening will take place in the renovated building. Ewa Zbroja insists that it will happen as soon as possible. Film distributors throughout Poland have been informed about the progress of the work. According to the BOK director, the Forum auditorium will be modern enough to serve the residents of Bolesławiec for the next 30 years.

The cinema renovation has been delayed because of unforeseen additional work. It was discovered, among other things, that the foundations of some parts of the building did not comply with the documentation held by the designer. The renovation is scheduled to be completed in mid-February. The new Forum, however, will not open before the turn of March and April.
