The City Council was scheduled to adopt a resolution on MZK ticket price increases on 28 December, during its last session of 2007. However, it turned out that the opinion of the OPZZ Council of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in Wrocław was missing, so the resolution was removed from the agenda. The opinion of the OPZZ Council (prepared by the OPZZ District Council in Bolesławiec) reached the City Office secretariat only on 2 January 2008.

During the 18th session, convened on 9 January, councillors approved new fares for passenger transport on MZK routes. The standard single ticket will cost 10 groszy more. It will cost PLN 1.70. The price of a discounted ticket will remain unchanged (90 groszy).

Passengers will pay PLN 2 more for standard named monthly tickets within the city: up to 5 km (PLN 46) and from 5 to 10 km (PLN 60). As with single tickets, the price of discounted monthly tickets will remain unchanged.

Some standard period and network tickets will also become more expensive. A ticket for the city network within Bolesławiec will increase by PLN 1 and cost PLN 64. A ticket for the urban and suburban network will cost PLN 2 more—PLN 128.

The resolution will take effect no earlier than February.
