Last Saturday, November 17, the final round of the first half of the IV-league volleyball competition was played. The team from MPK Bogatynia hosted the players from TOP Bolesławiec. The match ended with a convincing victory for the Bolesławiec team (20:25, 18:25, 16:25). Correct reception of the opponents’ serves and consistent implementation of the tactical plan proved to be the key to the Bolesławiec players’ success.
The team never relinquished the initiative; the entire match was controlled by the TOP players. However, the Bolesławiec volleyball players were not free of mistakes. After winning two sets, a lapse in concentration crept into the visitors’ ranks at the beginning of the third. However, thanks to the coach’s quick reaction—he called a timeout and successfully motivated the team—the set ended with a decisive victory for TOP.
The final standings after the first half will have to wait, as Pogoń Góra, currently in second place, has yet to play one match. But it is already known that our team will finish in second place at worst.
