At the “Gallery of Talents” of the Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury, Martyna Woźnica is presenting her works. The exhibition is titled “Collected Works.” On Friday, the exhibition opening took place in the MDK gallery.
Martyna is a student at I Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Bolesławiec. The techniques she uses most willingly are watercolours, pastels and graphic art. She also creates stained-glass works and sculptures. As she says, she has been involved in art for as long as she can remember. “I have been attending classes since the first grade of primary school. At first, I went to Mr Czesław Matyjewicz at BOK. Then I came to the MDK, to Ms Magda Konieczna and Ms Kasia Sas,” Martyna explains. The high school student’s favourite techniques are drawing and graphic art. She also creates stained-glass works. A stained-glass window with an angel, created by Martyna, received an award (second prize) at the “Kairos” exhibition of Christian art.
The subject matter of Martyna’s works is varied. The exhibition features references to chess, elements of Japanese art, landscapes and religious art. “Some of my works are interpretations of existing pieces, as is the case with the Japanese women. There are also things that happened by chance. Once I started by painting a flower, then I added other things and a picture emerged that I liked and later transformed into a graphic work,” Martyna explains. The high school student’s favourite artist is Leonadro da Vinci. The young artist dreams of studying at an Academy of Fine Arts.
