Brzeg Dolny hosted celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the Lower Silesian Sport Bridge Association. A group from Bolesławiec’s bridge community took part in the ceremony. During the anniversary gathering, distinguished activists and players received awards. Jarosław Molenda and Edward Boguta were awarded the Bronze Badge of “Meritorious Activist of Physical Culture and Sport”, presented by the Minister of Sport.

These were not the only distinctions received by Bolesławiec’s bridge players. The Polish Bridge Association awarded the Silver Badge “For Merits to the Development of Sport Bridge” to Edward Boguta, Jerzy Zatylny and Jarosław Molenda. The PZBS Bronze Badges went to Roland Lippik, Sławomir Zimniak and Artur Winkler. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Lower Silesian Sport Bridge Association, Anniversary Medals were presented to Marek Drecki, Jerzy Zatylny and Jarosław Molenda.

Naturally, a gathering of such a large group of bridge players could not take place without bridge itself. In the main tournament, the pair Jarosław Molenda – Jerzy Olenderek performed well. The gentlemen finished in 6th place. The team from the Bolesławiec Bridge Club also finished in 6th place in the Lower Silesian Open Championships.
