The “eFeMeSiak” newsletter contains important information from both the region and the country. In addition, readers can find a humor section, as well as the most important part of the newsletter – articles written by members of the Bolesławiec FMS!
“Our organization brings together people who have clearly defined views. The newsletter we publish is one of many ways of presenting these views. Through our articles, we particularly want to reach the young residents of Bolesławiec so that they do not remain passive in the reality around them,” says Paweł Zieliński, FMS secretary.
So far, two issues of “eFeMeSiak” have been published. Each had a circulation of approximately 300 copies. The young social democrats print the newsletter themselves and also take care of its promotion. Every month, a group of organization members takes to the city streets and hands “eFeMeSiak” to passers-by.
Various gifts are included with the newsletter; in the current issue, for example, there is a multimedia disc presenting Poland’s position in the European Union. “We want to show the city’s residents that we are neither afraid nor ashamed of our opinion on various, often controversial, topics. Through our articles, we explain the reforms being introduced in Poland, show their shortcomings, and also present our proposals for correcting them,” says Michał Banaś, chairman of FMS in Bolesławiec.
“We are pleased that people are generally willing to accept our newsletter and that, even if only for a moment, it captures their attention. We would like to thank them for this, because by reading these few pages they show their respect for our work and our views,” the chairman adds.
