Thanks to the efforts of Mayor Piotr Roman and Teresa Zimerman, chairwoman of the Train Dispatchers’ Trade Union, there is a chance that Polskie Koleje Państwowe will not discontinue the Wrocławianin train, a direct connection from Zgorzelec to Warsaw.
"Last year, we managed to secure the extension of the route from Wrocław to Zgorzelec. The line is very popular," says Piotr Roman, while adding that he does not understand PKP’s actions.
More about the rail connections will be known after tomorrow’s meeting between the mayor, the union chairwoman and PKP management.
