Robert Makłowicz and the team producing the programme came to Bolesławiec thanks to the efforts of people associated with the Via Sudetica group. Filming for the popular television programme, broadcast on TVP 2, took place at the “Manufaktura” stoneware factory, at the Kutuzov Monument, in the Market Square, at the “Błotny” ceramic tableware factory in Parowa, beneath the Bolesławiec railway viaduct and at Piwnica Paryska. During the filming of the entire feature, Robert Makłowicz was accompanied by figures symbolising clay sculptures.
“It is excellent promotion for our town. We are doing what we can to show viewers throughout Poland that our town is interesting and worth visiting,” says Bogusław Nowak, who was directly involved in organising the visit by the producers of the programme “Robert Makłowicz’s Culinary Journeys”.
During his travels with a camera, Robert Makłowicz presents specialities of Polish and world cuisine. In natural outdoor settings or interesting interiors, he prepares sophisticated dishes and provides recipes. Robert Makłowicz’s programme is the most popular programme of its kind on Polish television. The episode connected with Bolesławiec will be broadcast at the turn of September and October.
