The competition is open to works concerning the history and present-day life of our city that were defended in the 2005/2006 and 2006/2007 academic years at all public and private universities in Poland. Works addressing Bolesławiec’s competitiveness in Poland and abroad will be particularly welcome.
Works must be sent by post to the Bolesławiec City Office by 31 July (the date of the postmark shall determine compliance with the deadline). An entry for the competition should include:
- 1 copy of the work in written form
- 1 copy in electronic form (CD or DVD)
- confirmation of the work’s defense issued by the university authorities
- the review and assessment of the work prepared by the supervisor
- a completed entry form (available for download from the City Office website)
- a one-page summary of the work
- a statement by the candidate consenting to the publication of the work by the Bolesławiec City Office Bolesławiec
- a statement by the candidate consenting to the wide dissemination of the work.
The winners will be selected by the competition jury, which will include representatives of university academic staff (3 people) and representatives of the City Office (2 people). The winners will receive diplomas and cash prizes:
- 1st prize – PLN 3,000
- 2nd prize – PLN 2,000
- 3rd prize – PLN 1,000.
The supervisors of the winning works will receive PLN 2,000. The competition results will be announced in October. The competition will take place provided that at least five works meeting the formal requirements are submitted.
