"The residential buildings, along with the school building, are remnants of the Soviet troops stationed there until 1992. After that year, the site was looted and destroyed by adventurers, scrap dealers and thieves," says Lt. Col. Jerzy Tomaszewski of the Regional Infrastructure Board in Zielona Góra.
