A patrol of the Jelenia Góra City Guard went to Wolności Street, where a dog attack had occurred. At the scene, the guards found an injured woman who said that, while walking along the pavement toward the main entrance to Tesco, she had been bitten on the hand by a dog tied to a fire hydrant. She said she would go to the doctor herself and only asked them to find out whether the dog had been vaccinated.
The officers determined who owned the dog. Fortunately, it turned out that the animal had been vaccinated. During the intervention, its owner, a 63-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra, behaved aggressively and arrogantly: he threatened the officers with death, said that this was their final journey, and that he had already buried a cow and a horse on his property, so he could bury two guards as well. The officers had already heard a great deal, but this left them genuinely astonished.
What is more, the man took a spade standing beside the building and began digging a hole. He added that he had worked as a gravedigger for 10 years, so he knew how to do it. And this was not a single outburst of anger. In the evening, the man telephoned the City Guard duty officer and continued his account of how he would bury the guards alive. He will now answer in court for his threats.
The hot-tempered dog owner is known to officers in Jelenia Góra. In July, officers intervened over three dogs that the 63-year-old was letting run loose. The man was sentenced by a court at the time.
