The gala ceremony was held at the end of September in Wrocław. The event was held under the honorary patronage of: Paweł Hreniak, Lower Silesian Voivode, Cezary Przybylski, Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, and Rafał Dutkiewicz, Mayor of Wrocław.
The aim of the competition, organized since 2002 by the Parliamentary Team for People with Disabilities and the Parliamentary Women's Group, is to honor women with disabilities who are active in various areas of social life and to promote their attitudes. Lady D. comes from the English expression Lady Disabled (a disabled lady).
Władysława Kotlarek is an Amazon who not only overcomes her own weaknesses but also helps other women. Her activity and commitment stem from a heartfelt need to help others. She unites women who are fighting breast cancer and helps and supports them in transforming weakness into strength. Thanks to her enthusiasm, a number of social, cultural and educational meetings can be organized at the Bolesławiec Amazons Club.
