Nearly 150 taekwondo athletes from the Lower Silesian Voivodeship and representatives of one club from Greater Poland took part in the competition. The youngest athletes competed in two disciplines: the technical two-event competition and sparring. LMKS Gladius fighters won a total of 10 medals, including 3 gold and 4 silver.
Meanwhile, the younger juniors, cadets and juniors competed exclusively in sparring using EBP (an electronic point registration system, the same one used during this year's Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro). In these categories, the Gladius taekwondo athletes won, like their younger teammates, 10 medals (6 gold and 3 silver). Thanks to this medal haul, LMKS Gladius finished second in the overall standings of the tournament in Bogatynia.
The tournament in Bogatynia was the first appearance of the Bolesławiec athletes in the new competition season. The club invites you to taekwondo training sessions at Primary School No. 4 (12 Mikołaja Brody Street) on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:30 p.m., and to its Facebook profile.
