Robert Pomichter has been involved in photography for 20 years. He belonged to the Bolesławiec Photographic Society and took part in the Society’s competitions. With success: he won first place once, second place twice and third place once. His photographs were presented at the Gorzów Photographic Confrontations and at the National Salon of Artistic Photography in Żary. At present, as he admitted, "I am no longer interested in photography competitions. Photography is not a sporting contest". He places the greatest emphasis on mood in his photographs. He is interested in photographs that are "misty, atmospheric and less sharp". Photographs like those taken by American photographer Keith Carter, although the club’s supervisor discovered him only after he had begun using a Vaseline filter.

The Pozytyw Photography Club was established at the Jan Paul II School Complex in Osiecznica, where Robert Pomichter teaches information technology. It brings together eight students from the first and second years of lower secondary school. During the club’s classes, the students learn, naturally, photography and photo-processing techniques. But that is not all. As stated on the group’s website, the club is an opportunity to "look at the world around us differently" and show young people new paths for development. Classes are held mainly in the computer lab. Once a month, the students and their teacher put their theoretical knowledge into practice—they take photographs outdoors. Recently, they took pictures at the castle in Kliczków. On the third Thursday of every month, the group’s classes are held at the Vinci club in Bolesławiec.

"Working with young people is wonderful," says the club’s supervisor—"By teaching them, you can learn something new yourself." Pozytyw’s plans include outdoor photography sessions, trips and a photography marathon. The young people are organising exhibitions and meetings with photographers from Bolesławiec. If time allows, Robert Pomichter would also like to establish cooperation with photography enthusiasts from our town.
