The students will complete a one-month vocational internship at five German companies, including the most important ones: ReProBau GmbH and Forssbohm & Söhne GmbH. They will improve their qualifications and gain new skills in modern energy-efficient construction, namely passive houses, pioneered by Germany and Austria.

The internship will enable students from the Construction School Complex in Bolesławiec to further their vocational education in technologies used in passive construction and energy-efficient equipment. They will gain new skills in performing energy calculations based on average annual and monthly air temperatures, as well as comparing the climatic conditions of Germany and Poland. “We hope that the internship completed in Leipzig will enable our future construction workers to find well-paid employment,” teachers at the Construction School Complex said.

The “Passive Houses – the Future of the Construction Industry” project is financed by the European Social Fund and the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development (PO WER), as part of the “Foreign Internships for Students and Graduates of Vocational Schools and Mobility of Vocational Education Staff” project. The project funding amounts to EUR 68,144.
