The ceremony to plant magnolia trees at the Construction School Complex in Bolesławiec took place on Friday, 16 September. Jacek Jurkiewicz, director of “Budowlanka,” spoke: “Oriflame has approached the 25th anniversary of the company’s existence in our country ambitiously. It wants to plant 25,000 trees throughout Poland.”
As for Lower Silesia, trees funded by the cosmetics giant have already been planted in Wrocław, Jelenia Góra, Wałbrzych and Chojnów, and now at the Construction School Complex in Bolesławiec. This school was chosen because it has a Forestry Technical School and a Landscape Architecture Technical School. “Young people are educated here who will work professionally in environmental protection and with nature,” emphasized Anika Fiłon, head of Oriflame’s Bolesławiec office.
The ceremony also included a quiz on trees and gifts for the “Budowlanka” students. The planting of 12 magnolias was attended, among others, by students of the Construction School Complex and Primary School No. 1 in Bolesławiec, Oriflame representatives, and Anna Dudek, a teacher at the Construction School Complex. The first trees were planted by the company’s director, Grażyna Starzyńska, and Jacek Jurkiewicz.
