In such cases, you can use a service that orders shopping and has it delivered to your home by taxi. How does it work, and how much will you have to pay for such assistance?
Many of us primarily associate this type of home shopping delivery with parties, especially when the alcohol runs out and it is impossible to go and get it ourselves. However, it is actually much more versatile, allowing you to order many other food products practically at any time of day or night, with rapid delivery directly to the specified address.
How do you order shopping delivered by taxi?
You can do this either through regular taxi companies or by using selected apps for ordering taxis online. To place an order, you need to say or enter in the app that you would like to order shopping delivered to your home, and then provide precise information about what the driver should buy. When it comes to specific products, you should give their full names, as otherwise the driver may not order exactly what the customer means.
How much does home shopping delivery cost?
The cost depends primarily on the taxi company. For example, a taxi in Lublin will cost 20 zlotys, plus an additional 5 zlotys if the shopping is to be brought to your home. Naturally, you also have to pay for the ordered products according to the receipt provided by the driver. In larger cities, the cost may be around 30 zlotys. It is also worth noting that the fee may be higher—up to 50 zlotys—when the order is placed at night or on Sundays and public holidays.
Therefore, if you cannot go shopping and urgently need certain products—not only food—you can also ask a taxi driver to buy and deliver them. It is quite an expensive solution, but in many situations it can be very helpful.
