Runners will compete in the following categories:
- open (women and men)
- soldiers (women and men)
- competitors in uniform and carrying a backpack with a minimum 20 kg load
- students of upper-secondary schools with a uniformed-services profile
- children up to 10 years old together with their mothers or guardians – distance: 400 m (one lap)
- young people aged 10 to 15 – distance: 1,200 m (three laps).
The route will run through varied terrain, along forest trails and cobblestone surfaces. The run will start at the monument to the Fallen Soldiers of the 1st Independent Commando Company and the Deceased Soldiers of the 62nd Special Commando Company” on September 3. The start is at 10:00 a.m..
How can you register for the third Cross Commando Run for the Brown Bear Statuette?
The organizer does not charge an entry fee. The competition has a limit of 300 participants; registrations are accepted in the order they are received. Registrations, including first name, surname, town and category, must be submitted exclusively by email – by September 2 to: 62kscommando@wp.pl.
IMPORTANT! An entry fee of PLN 15 will be charged if you register for the run on the day of the competition (this does not apply to uniformed-service classes). The detailed regulations for the 3rd Cross Commando Run for the Brown Bear Statuette are available on the website of the Association of Former Soldiers of the 62nd Special Commando Company “Commando” (in the competitions section).
After the run, at 12:00 p.m., a gathering of generations of former soldiers of the 62nd Special Commando Company “Commando” will take place at the aforementioned monument to mark the 49th anniversary of the establishment of the once-elite special commando unit.
