Officers from the Criminal Division of the First Police Commissariat in Jelenia Góra detained a 19-year-old woman suspected of theft and possession of narcotic drugs. The crime occurred on July 1 in one of the second-hand clothing stores in the city. While shopping, the young woman took advantage of the saleswoman’s momentary inattention and stole her handbag. It contained documents, money and a mobile phone. The owner estimated her losses at more than PLN 400.
The officers correctly identified and then detained the 19-year-old suspected of the act. What is more, during the detention they found hashish in the suspect’s wallet. The officers are currently investigating all the circumstances of the case in detail and determining what the woman did with the stolen property. The young woman faces up to five years in prison.
