The training took place from 4 to 8 July 2016 as part of the “Autism – Help Understand the World” project. It focused on the innovative “Geef me de 5” method of working with autistic children. During their stay in the Netherlands, the teachers met the author of the “Geef me de 5” method, Colette de Bruin, and learned about the activities of the “Geef me de 5” training and therapy centre.
The “Autism – Help Understand the World” project, carried out as part of the “Mobility of School Education Staff” project, is co-financed by the European Social Fund under the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development through the Foundation for the Development of the Education System.
During their stay in the Netherlands, the teachers from Kindergarten No. 7 also learned about the Dutch education system and visited a local primary school and kindergarten. They took part in sightseeing trips, learning about Dutch history, culture and traditions.
