Police officers from the Prevention Department of the Lubin police headquarters were patrolling the Centrum housing estate. At one point, they noticed two men who began acting nervously when they saw the officers. The officers decided to check what had caused this behavior. It quickly turned out that the suspects had a car radio and vehicle documents with them. Another patrol checked the area and found, on one of the streets, the car from which the stolen items had come. The burglars were arrested and taken to police custody.
As the police established, the two men from Lubin, aged 28 and 32, broke into a Mercedes Sprinter, from which they took a car radio and the vehicle registration certificate. They then headed home with the loot. That was when they were caught. Both men from Lubin now face up to 10 years in prison.
