The winning wreath, together with its harvest festival group, will represent Powiat at the Lower Silesian Voivodeship harvest festival, which will take place on 4 September this year in Krzyżowa (in Świdnica Commune).
The aim of the competition is to promote and preserve traditions associated with harvest festival ceremonies, together with the presentation of the abundance of crops woven into harvest wreaths.
Groups presenting wreaths may participate in the competition, provided that the form and materials used refer to Polish traditions of harvest wreath-making. Wreaths must not contain plastic, polystyrene or artificial flowers. The wreath construction must allow it to be carried in the harvest festival procession. More information:
A competition committee appointed by the Bolesławiec starosta will assess the wreaths at harvest festivals held in the communes of Powiat Bolesławiecki at the turn of August and September this year, but no later than one week before the planned voivodeship harvest festival.
Information about the competition results will be published on the Powiat Bolesławiecki website.
