At the scene, while talking to the rider, the officers smelled alcohol. Indeed, a breath test showed that the motorcyclist had more than 1.2 per mille of alcohol in his blood.

What is more, it turned out that the 36-year-old did not have a licence to ride motorcycles, and that the motorcycle he was riding had been stolen in Germany.

The officers are now clarifying all the circumstances of the case. Among other things, they are checking how the rider came into possession of the motorcycle, which was worth several thousand złotys.

The man has already been charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, for which he faces up to two years in prison. He will also be held responsible for riding a motorcycle without the required licence and causing a collision.
