The man was detained on June 23, at around 10:00 a.m., immediately after breaking into and robbing a Fiat Ducato. His haul included a wallet, a silver wedding band, documents and ATM cards. The victim estimated the total losses at PLN 130. Police recovered the stolen items.
Officers from the Criminal Department of Police Station I in Jelenia Góra also determined that the man had committed at least five other offenses in Jelenia Góra and Karpacz between May and June this year.
During that period, the 19-year-old most likely also broke into and robbed two cars. His haul included radios, a laptop and other small items. In addition, during an outdoor event, he took advantage of the owner’s momentary inattention and stole... 20 beers from him, and also broke into a utility room in the city center, from which he took ski equipment worth a total of PLN 1,550. It cannot be ruled out that the 19-year-old also stole perfumes from one of the drugstores in Karpacz, causing losses of PLN 2,000. Police are currently clarifying all the circumstances of the case in detail and determining what happened to the stolen property.
He was placed in police custody. He now faces up to 10 years in prison for the offenses committed.
