Rev. Józef Gołębiowski had been associated with the church on Jana Pawła II Street (formerly Broniewskiego Street) from the very beginning. He served as its parish priest for more than 30 years. Now, ill and recovering from heart surgery, he is retiring to the Home for Retired Priests. Rev. Mieczysław Bętkowski has been appointed in his place; until now, he had served in Mysłakowice.

Krystyna Gay-Kutschenreiter was born in Łódź. She studied at the Faculty of Art at the University of Toruń and at the Faculty of Ceramics of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, where she obtained her diploma in Professor Rudolf Krzywiec’s studio. In addition to ceramic sculpture, she also creates unique ceramics. She has lived and worked in Bolesławiec for many years, where she was involved in training personnel for the ceramic industry, and from 1990 to 2005 served as the artistic commissioner of the annual National and International Ceramic and Sculpture Open-Air Workshops. Her achievements include more than a dozen solo exhibitions and participation in several dozen group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. In addition to the Bolesławiec museum, her works are held in the collections of the National Museum in Wrocław, the National Museum in Poznań, the Upper Silesian Museum in Bytom, BWA Jelenia Góra, Kunstforum Piaristen in Vienna, and many private collections.
