The preschool children created the works as part of the “Glinolandia 2016 – art as play, play as art” project. From 10 to 12 June, we had the opportunity to view the first “Niby-exhibition 2016” organized by the preschool.

The gallery presented ceramic works made by children aged 2, 5 and 6 who took part in the art project in April and May. At the opening, the young artists received certificates and ceramic hearts.

At the beginning of the meeting, there was also an opportunity to thank the companies and institutions that had significantly contributed to the project’s development over its five years. Ceramika Milena from Parzyce, which initiated the project, was recognized, as were the BOK-MCC management and artists for making it possible to move the project to the studios located at the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre – International Ceramics Centre, where the project has been carried out since 2013. Thanks were also extended to Ceramika Artystyczna from Bolesławiec for its cooperation during this year’s workshops.

The exhibition featured ceramic houses depicting preschoolers’ families, Niby-clocks bearing imprints of the children’s hands, Niby-ladybirds serving as lanterns, beads, snails, clothes hangers and small plates. It also presented functional ceramics painted by parents and children during family workshops.
