The perpetrator asked for 12 packs of cigarettes and a drink at one of the shops. However, he did not intend to pay for them. On the contrary, he tried to wrestle the goods away from the employee, who wanted to prevent the theft. The thief then became aggressive. He pulled out an object resembling a weapon and began threatening the woman. After a brief struggle, he fled with goods worth 190 zlotys.
Just a few hours later, police officers identified and detained the suspect. He turned out to be a 25-year-old resident of Zgorzelec.
He now faces up to 10 years in prison.
