The burglary took place in the last week of May in Bolesławiec. After breaking the hasp, the perpetrator entered one of the cellars and stole two bicycles. The victim estimated her losses at 600 zlotys.
Officers from the Criminal Division of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec arrested a man suspected of committing the crime. He turned out to be a 23-year-old resident of Bolesławiec, who was charged with burglary and gave a statement. The man had previously been convicted of similar offences.
Moreover, the officers identified and arrested a fence—a 26-year-old man from Gromadka municipality—who had bought the stolen bicycles. The police recovered the aforementioned bicycles, which will be handed over to their owner.
The 23-year-old faces up to 10 years in prison, while the 26-year-old faces up to five years.
