Smith handed over his duties to his successor. The new commander is Captain Adam J. Grant.
Captain Adam J. Grant emphasized:
We came here to cooperate even more closely with our armored brothers, the soldiers of the 11th Armored Cavalry Division. They are professionals. We have been cooperating for years and have conducted many joint training exercises at the training area. They carry out their assigned tasks very well. It is an honor for us to cooperate with the Poles. We are pleased that, by being here, we can show that our alliance is unbreakable.
The enormous commitment of Polish and American armored troops during joint international exercises proves that being a soldier in the armored forces is not a job but a calling, regardless of nationality.
“Charlie” Company is part of the 1st Tank Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division of the United States Army.
