At the end of May, reports of break-ins and thefts began reaching the Lubin police. At the time, unknown perpetrators were robbing commercial premises, taking cosmetics, a coffee machine, bicycles and wallets. Where they did not steal anything, they damaged property. They quickly sold their loot.
From the very beginning, officers from the Criminal Department of the Lubin police worked on the case. Based on the information collected and as a result of operational work, they identified the perpetrators. They turned out to be two 15-year-olds who had escaped from a Special Educational Centre. By the time they were detained, officers had proven that they were responsible for several thefts and acts of property damage.
Police are continuing to work on the case. They are determining whether the 15-year-old from Lubin and his accomplice from Żywiec County have committed any other crimes.
The detainees were taken to a police juvenile holding facility. Their case will now be handled by the family court.
