This year's Bolesławiec budget allocated a total of PLN 1,655,000 to co-finance work on historic buildings. Grants for renovating tenement façades will go to homeowners' associations located at: B. Prusa 26/27/28, B. Prusa 19/21, B. Prusa 22/23-24/25, B. Prusa 31/32, 30 B. Prusa Street, and 19/20-21/22 Sierpnia ’80 Street. A grant was also allocated for renovation work on the external elements of the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help at 1b Zamkowy Square. The work includes drying, drainage, vertical wall insulation and replacement of corroded building façade plaster. Funding will also support emergency façade renovation, drainage and drying of the interior of Bolesławiec's most valuable historic building – the Bolesławiec Marian Basilica at 3 Kościelna Street.
The renovations are being carried out במסגרת the “New Old Town” programme, adopted by the Bolesławiec City Council in 2006. One stage of the programme is the renovation of tenements around the market square, the scope of which has been divided into two parts: renovation of the roof structure and roofing, and renovation of façades, stone details and architectural details, along with filling in defects. A condition for receiving co-financing for façade renovation is that the homeowners' association first completes renovation of the roof structure and roofing.
