Officers from the Juvenile Affairs Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra identified and detained a 16-year-old resident of Kowary suspected of burglaries and attempted burglaries.
According to the officers’ findings, during last year’s summer holidays the detainee committed several offences against property in Kowary. The teenager mainly broke into garden sheds. He stole gardening tools, cables, power tools and other metal items, which he then sold at scrap-metal collection points or to other people.
In addition, the 16-year-old is suspected of breaking into an abandoned building, from which he took metal elements, as well as stealing from private property.
The family court will now decide the suspect’s fate.
