– The rally itself is very attractive because the start takes place in the Market Square in Kłodzko. Interest in rallies there is really high – says “ii” Wojciech “Rozi” Rozmus from Stag BC Rally Team, who competed in the rally together with Grzegorz Kunka. – The stages prepared by the organisers for us, the competitors, were of a high standard. Three stages run twice, and the service area was located in Kłodzko Fortress. This added prestige, and the competition itself promised to be very interesting.
– Fighting against front-wheel-drive cars is not easy for us, but we always try to fight for every second – W. Rozmus continues. – We had no time for sightseeing, so we immediately joined the competition. The first loop went quite quickly, which put us in second place. Starting the second loop, we realised it would be difficult, so we drove at our own pace, dropping to third place but holding on to it with a small one-second advantage. The cancellation of one of the stages was a very big surprise for us, so all we could do was fight on the next one and maintain our one-second advantage.
The final stage was very technically demanding. – After the first few hundred metres, our car failed to obey the driver and, sliding slightly off the road due to gravity, we hit a sign and had to reverse. It was already clear that we would not keep our third place – the Bolesławiec rally driver reported.
The Bolesławiec competitors finished the rally in fourth place. More photos and information about the 46th Kłodzko Lion Rally can be found on the BC Rally Team Facebook profile.
