The 47-year-old Nissan driver, a resident of Jawor, probably failed to keep a safe distance and collided with a Passat traveling ahead of him. The Passat then hit an Audi. A moment later, another vehicle—a Volkswagen—crashed into these three vehicles. The latter was driven by a 23-year-old from Ziębice (Lower Silesian Voivodeship).
The only person injured in the accident was its probable perpetrator—the 47-year-old Nissan driver. The man, who suffered a spinal injury, was taken to a hospital in Zgorzelec.
The road is now passable. Police are determining the cause of the incident.
